Mock Results Day

Principal Miss Wicks gathered Year 11 on Wednesday 20th March to deliver results to students following their mock exams.

Year 11 students rose to the challenge of their mock exams prior to the spring half term and staff gathered the year group to give them a taste of what to expect in August.

The mock exam and results process is important for Wellacre students to not only give them a flavour of the real day to come in five months time but also to pinpoint where they are in each subject and to highlight key areas for revision.

Miss Wicks said:

“Staging a mock results event before the real day gives students a taste of all the emotions they will feel as they prepare to open their results.  We want students to realise the reward will be worth all the effort and to motivate them to aim even higher than they are already. Through hard work they really can achieve anything.”

Senior leadership and teaching staff were on hand to help students reflect on their achievements and to indicate areas for more focus and effort.

The event was also followed by the Year 11 Revision Evening for students and parents; all resources will be shared via MyEd.
