Red Nose Day 2017

WELLACRE supported, celebrated and enjoyed a wonderful Red Nose Day by helping to raise over £2000 for charity.

Seeing this as a fantastic community opportunity our student year groups organised a wide range of mini events. With each individual Form group working together during DEAR time to discuss, plan and take part. Initially ideas were generated for charity events, through the executive student council voice and it was decided that we would make this the most competitive charity event in Wellacre history. Each year group were given a week on week challenge to compete against each other to raise as much money for charity as they could. Form tutors were hugely instrumental in providing exciting and original ideas for their form to raise money.

Students were so proactive during the weeks leading up to Easter half term and worked hard to raise as much money as they could. There were some super and ambitious ideas, whether students were selling at the tuck shop, taking part in football tournaments, guessing sweets, Aeroplane throwing,  name the bunny and an Easter Egg raffle.

Red Nose Day helps to change lives across the UK and the world’s poorest communities. By supporting their inspirational work WELLACRE hopes to help enable others to grow by achieving their goals and enjoying life.
