Wellacre Appoints New Head Boy

Senior Prefect Team Announced

Principal, Miss Wicks, is proud to announce the appointment of Nic and Harvey, Year 11, as Wellacre’s Head Boy and Senior Deputy Head Boy for this academic year.  

Matthew and Jake also join the new prefect team as Deputy Head Boys, alongside Tom and Edward, as Senior Prefects.

The election process saw all candidates create a video manifesto to communicate their vision for Wellacre, which were all played to the study body.  A whole school vote took place, with every staff member and student voting for their preferred Head Boy.

Each candidate was interviewed by the Senior Leadership team to reflect on their Student Leadership abilities, their inspirations, and how they demonstrate Wellacre’s core values - Resilience, Honesty, Pride, Respect, Aspiration - in their learning and beyond. 

Congratulations to the new Senior Prefect team: 

Head Boy: Nic (Pankhurst)

Senior Deputy Head Boy: Harvey (Lowry)

Deputy Head Boys: Matthew (Lowry) and Jake (Pankhurst)

Senior Prefects/Team Leaders: Tom (Turing)  and Edward (Pankhurst)

Principal Miss Wicks said:

“We always ask candidates always who their inspiration is and why;  this year Marcus Rashford was our new Head Boy’s inspiration, because he has used his influence to benefit those in need.

“It is an honour to appoint Nic as the Head Boy for Wellacre this year.  I am certain the newly appointed Senior Prefect team will be exceptional ambassadors for Wellacre and outstanding role models for our students.”
