Alfie Enjoys Success in Roller and Ice Hockey

Alfie, Year 9, has enjoyed success in the rink with his roller inline and ice hockey teams!

He plays roller inline hockey with the Devils based in Atherton and has been with this particular team since September, but was introduced to the sport when he was 11.

The Devils played in a tournament recently in Rotherham, which pitted the top two teams from each nationwide league against each other.  The Devils played amazingly and won the runner up Inline Hockey National Championships cup.

Alfie also plays ice hockey with Manchester Storm in Altrincham and has been with the club since he was 7.

He also played in a nationwide ice hockey competition where the top Northern and Southern teams competed against each other - Alfie’s Manchester Storm team came in second.

“They are intense sports and it’s been a lot of work and effort but I really enjoy it. I had the opportunity to train with Team GB last year and I’m going to keep trying until I get in and join my friends on the team.”
