Sport Ambassadors Support Primary Event

Wellacre’s Year 8 and 9 Sport Ambassadors have enjoyed the opportunity of attending and supporting another primary sporting event - the Trafford School Sport Partnership (TSSP) Swimming Gala. 

Held at Urmston Leisure centre, primary school children competed in the pool with Wellacre’s Sport Ambassadors officiating and offering encouragement from the poolside. 

Mr Whitehead, Teacher of PE, said:

“Yet again, I was delighted with the Sport Ambassadors’ maturity and exemplary behaviour, making themselves, the school and their parents proud!”

Wellacre students’ time and scorekeeping, and competitor support received great feedback yet again!

The Sport Ambassadors’ calendar continues next half term with the primary indoor athletics and a special training event.

Six students will attend the Trafford Leadership Academy, alongside other schools.  The workshop will help students learn more about how to plan and host their own safe, enjoyable and inclusive roadshow event for primary school pupils, linked with the Commonwealth Games.
