Introducing Wellacre’s Head Boy and Senior Prefect Team

New Team Lead the Way in 2021

Principal, Mrs Sharrock, is proud to introduce the new Senior Prefect team for 2021/22.  Adam and Christian were appointed as Wellacre’s Head Boy and Senior Deputy Head Boy. Year 11 students, Harry and Michael, will take the position of Deputy Head Boys.  

 

A number of Senior Prefects and Prefects were also appointed and each of the team have been assigned to key areas of development this year, according to their interests.

  

Congratulations to the new Senior Prefect team: 

Head Boy: Adam

Senior Deputy Head Boy: Christian

Deputy Head Boys: Harry and Michael

Inclusion and Wellbeing: Michael (Dep Head Boy) and Daniel H (Senior Prefect)

Transition: Harry (Dep Head Boy) and Noah (Senior Prefect)

STEM/Careers: Daniel D (Senior Prefect) and Oliver (Prefect)

Culture, Arts and Enrichment: Rajan (Senior Prefect) and Billy (Prefect)

Community and Events: Christian (Snr Dep Head Boy), Mohammed (Senior Prefect) and Archie (Prefect)

           

The Senior Prefect Team election process saw all candidates create a video manifesto to communicate their vision for Wellacre, which were all played to the study body.  A whole school vote took place, with every staff member and student voting for their preferred Head Boy.

Each candidate was interviewed by the Senior Leadership team to reflect on their Student Leadership abilities and experiences, their aspirations, and how they demonstrate Wellacre’s core values - Resilience, Honesty, Pride, Respect, Aspiration - in their learning and beyond. 

Mrs Sharrock, Principal, said:

“Interviewing for Head Boy was a real honour. The boys were articulate and passionate, and their pride in being Wellacre students shone through.” 

“Adam is going to make a fabulous Head Boy and he has an amazing team of committed, articulate and caring Senior Student Leaders to work alongside him. We are all excited about what we can achieve together at Wellacre.”
