Wellacre Student Entertains Neighbours in Lockdown
Year 9 Wellacre student, Harry, caught the attention of the local media when he took to his doorstep with his guitar to entertain his neighbours during lockdown!
Featured on local TV channel, That’s TV Manchester, Harry showed how he lifted community spirits with his amazing guitar skills and love of Noel Gallagher and Stereophonics.
Harry said: “My aim was to unite everyone during the hard times of lockdown, so I organised an event by posting invites to my neighbours. What started as a hobby on a Saturday turned into a big turnout on the street!”
Harry’s neighbours continue to ask when he is next playing and he has also been offered spots to play at local cafes, as well as at Flixton Festival next year!
Inspired by idols Stereophonics and Noel Gallagher, who he saw at a festival three years ago, Harry began learning how to play. He now has a collection of guitars and enjoys playing, and hopes to make it big one day!
