Students were presented with a series of awards and trophies, as well as their GCSE examination certificates, in front of an audience of staff, parents and carers.

The annual Presentation Evening is a celebration of students’ achievements, positive contributions and also recognises the wide variety of skills and attributes of Wellacre boys.

Principal Miss Wicks, Vice Principal Mr Pemberton and Year 11 Progress Leader Mr Duffy, presented trophies for academic excellence, personal achievement, subject awards and outstanding attendance.

Chair of Governors, Mr Harrison commented that Harry is ‘a leader in the making.’

Finally, Joshua Bridgeman won The Principal’s Award for working hard as part of the Prefect Team in Year 11 as the Senior Deputy Head Boy, as well as achieving great GCSE results.  Joshua has been a determined, hard working and resilient student and embodies Wellacre’s core values. Principal, Miss Wicks, said:

“Our annual Presentation Evening commemorates five years of commitment and resilience, and celebrates everyone's achievements.  Success has been achieved not only through the hard work of students, but also with the support of staff and parents; it has been a real team effort! Their time at Wellacre has been a well-rounded and varied experience, one that has prepared these students for their chosen pathways. We wish the Class of 2018 all the best for their future.”

Thanks to William Berry for providing musical entertainment for guests, and also Head Boy Oliver Pagan for opening the evening with his speech.
