Wellacre Wall of Fame: Daniel Rhodes

Daniel attended Wellacre from 2008 and left the Sixth Form in 2015 with BTECs in Performing Arts, Production Arts and Media.

Whilst at Wellacre, he starred in the most number of Christmas productions - racking up roles in seven shows including Wizard of Oz, West Side Story, and his personal favourite, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

Mrs Spencer, Teacher of Music, and Mrs Tickle, Teacher of Performing Arts, helped Daniel develop his passion for musical theatre and he also joined a local amateur dramatics society called Urmston Musical Theatre (UMT), which also helped him further develop his skills outside of school.

His love of performing arts, especially acting and singing, saw Daniel secure a place to study a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre at Edge Hill University and he has recently graduated.  During his three years at Edge Hill, he was involved with the university theatre group.

Daniel is looking forward to starting his new job soon at Thomas Cook as an Overseas Activity and Entertainment Representative, which will see him carry on his passion for performing.
