Head Boy Alfie Leads the Way

We are delighted to announce Wellacre’s Senior Prefect Team for 2019/20, lead by our new Head Boy, Alfie.

Senior Prefects - Joe, James, Carl, Ethan and Jack

Principal, Miss Wicks, said:

“We are proud of Alfie and the new Senior Prefect team chosen by staff and students.  I am sure they will lead with conviction and ensure Wellacre continues to go from strength to strength!”

The students were chosen following a rigorous selection process, which began with the production of their manifesto video.  The manifesto communicated their plans, changes and recommendations they would make for the school and students if appointed as Head boy.

A whole school vote took place with every staff member and student voting for their preferred candidate.

Candidates were also interviewed by Miss Wicks (Principal), Mr Duffy (Director of Futures), Mr Pemberton (Vice Principal) and previous Head Boy Harry (2017/18) to identify how students demonstrate Wellacre’s core values - Resilience, Honesty, Pride, Respect, Aspiration - in their behaviour, attendance and commitment to learning.

Miss Wicks adds:

“We look forward to the next academic year with Alfie and the team as exemplary ambassadors for Wellacre; setting a good example for others, serving as leaders in school activities and showcasing their outstanding school spirit.”
